Left? besides Hashimoto’s penciled in eyebrows, cover up for circles and weird marks, foundation, mascara, some eye shadow covered by swollen puffy eyes. Name it! just to look “normal” ….
Right? MY eyebrows, mascara.. nothing else!
All my life, I have had awful skin. Growing up, I had zits that just started at the age of twelve and lasted well into my adult years, which I still occasionally get. When my Hashimoto’s disease came along, the skin problem intensified with it. It seemed like a hopeless battle of dry, oily, zits, more drying, funky colors and all sorts of spots and irritations. A few months into my work with Dr. Jack, I noticed that a lot of the weirdo pigmentation of my skin stopped happening as did the dryness. Suddenly my eyelashes were back and so were my eyebrows My face looked different to me.
Of course, one of the side effects on my body, was a lot of looser skin. That was when Dr. Jack recommended Kelly Kuechler, the aesthetician, who works in his office. Her website is naturalbeautywny.com. If he had been looking at me across his desk instead of on the phone, he might have laughed at my squished up face. What the heck would she be able to do for me?? I, who thought at my age, the whole skin issue was pretty hopeless, that you are stuck with what you have. I , who suddenly found that a little help makes a HUGE difference.
First, it is the wraps that she uses to help my loose skin. It’s not like those ITWorks wraps that people use for inches loss, which is temporary. It is different. Hers actually detoxify the skin and so all the junk that you have been storing in there finds its way out and your skin gets healthier. The treatment she uses actually removes toxins trapped in the connective tissue. I notice that my skin on my body is much smoother, and softer. And I have noticed that it is getting firmer as we go. So inches are gone and I am able to maintain that which is awesome!
But the better news is that problematic skin on my face!! When I went to her, I talked to her about helping me with that. She got me some products to help and she was very patient explaining it all to me. She explained to me that certain products aggravate and that she carries a line of all natural treatments. She explained the ones that would be the best for me, and I have to say she has been a hundred percent correct!!! Within a week, I noticed a great difference. My wrinkly spots are less noticeable, I look healthier and it feels soft.
I have never been very good with makeup. Where I can paint anything you want, don’t ask me to get eyeliner on in the right place. With age, and my disease, I needed a lot of coverup to get rid of dark circles near my eyes. But last week, I left for work with only mascara on for a big school event. So I decided to use that picture for my blog, so you can see it too. It is an amazing difference!!! Even when I do wear some makeup, I don’t need very much to even things out.
Last week, she was so sweet to me. I had bought some of those fiber lashes from a party someone had. Well, try as hard as I might, I couldn’t get them on. After my wrap, she stayed at the office and taught me how to get them on! They turned out so pretty I hated to take them off and I learned a lot from her in just a short time. I love working with her. She has a great personality and its obvious that she just wants people to feel better in their own skin and about themselves. She is extremely professional, and her sweet and kind demeanor always helps me to relax and feel better.
Kelly is not pushy. You tell her your problem and she explains what will help and why. I know that anything she suggested to me has had a tremendous effect. The proof is in the picture! If it looks that good in a few weeks, wow…. what will a few months bring????
I was thinking of asking Kelly to write a little guest blog about herself, about her work and what she offers. I know I can’t be the only person in the world with what used to be awful skin! A little help goes such a long way, a lesson I really needed to learn.
I also talked to her about trying a few things that I have never done before and will keep you posted!
