I still get all kinds of ads for weight loss plans. Just saw another one today. Facebook still thinks I am diet junkie which I admit I was. Yeah, I read them all. Always have. Bought everyone’s book, a collection of tapes, access to websites. Some I totally forgot about until they remind me that I haven’t visited in awhile.
I gave out my book collection to friends who wanted them. and sent along a few to Dr. Jack. I thought he could read the ones on Thyroid diets for his amusement because no one without a medical degree could even understand it. But before we go on here, rest assured, I am a vested card carrying member of the Dr. Jack Saia plan, a lifelong plan. There is nothing “diet” about Dr. Jack and if you call him a weight loss doctor, I can promise his face will change expression, and I will cringe because he does not appreciate that title too much. That is because he is all about health! And weight loss comes from good health, it’s a natural side effect. There will never ever be another “plan” for me. I have access to the lifelong good health plan that HE follows himself.
Well, anyway, I see these ads all the time and yes I check them out. I know, it’s this weird obsession I have. It goes with my other weird obsession… I kept the link for the original webinar I watched from Dr. Jack and I view it at least three times a month. Shhh…. don’t tell him how bizarre I get, although he probably already knows. It’s just that I never ever want to forget how and why I am here. Never!
Anyway, I get these ads and I read them and then I compare. And I compare them with a fine tooth comb. I look at all kinds of factors to cement in my head why I am on the plan that cures, not just drops a few pounds. I will never ever, not as long as I live try another plan because YES, I am that totally committed to this one for these reasons. It works, and I lost my Hashimoto symptoms. There! What more do you need? And losing those symptoms far outweighs, pardon the pun, any weight I lose. My health is better than it’s ever been and I have not consumed one weirdo food or food like substance. It’s been all natural with natural real foods in the grocery store and all natural food supplements, no chemicals involved, no funky fillers. My body, in realty, was provided with what it needed to heal itself! What could be better than that? Now there is a concept I can back 100%!!!!!
The ad that popped up on my feed the other day was like that. It started out talking about how it was an all natural approach and my curiosity was heightened. I started reading it, but the second I got to a certain page I was not reading anymore. It touted that you could eat whatever you wanted. And you would still lose weight. And that was because they had food like substances you could buy… to substitute for what you are missing…. chips…desserts…,pasta….ughhhhhh… What is natural about that?? Ickkkkkkkk……There is nothing all natural about stuff that is made with preservatives and who knows what inside of it. There were these chips that looked like some kind of pulp that they firmed into chips. Ughhhhhhh….. no thank you.
Later there was another ad that talked about how you can eat healthy at Mc Donald’s ….uhhhhhh… no you can’t. And before you tell about the chicken and salad the reality is that those are loaded with nasty preservatives. My cleaned up palate can taste it. Now if it was a dire situation, I might eat the salad but how dire is it when a grocery store is down the road?
I have gotten email from all kinds of programs to try. And a few well intentioned friends who ask if I want to join them for a few rounds of the plan they are on. No…. I don’t but thank you. They talk to me about these intense exercise programs. And I mean intense. That equals stressors that will slow your efforts in a big way.
People tell me all the time about program’s they are on. They explain to me how theirs is healthier than mine while they are on their fourth cold or flu bug this winter and I have had none. My answer is always the same. Thanks but no thanks. I could never eat what they are eating and have this same result. I know that. I am 120% convinced of that. And even Facebook tries to convince me but I know my path is the one that cured me. I ate all those prepackaged things for years, took advice from anyone who would offer it. Want to get rid of all of it? Symptoms and weight? This was the only way to go.
But hey, Facebook, keep the ads coming… all you do is convince me further that I am on the right track! I really do appreciate that.
